Technical Data The Komatsu SAA6D107E-1 and SAA6D107E-2 (built on the Cummins QSB6.7 platform) are heavy-duty inline 6-cylinder, 4-stroke diesel engines designed for maximum reliability in severe construction environments. Both feature a displacement of 6.69 Liters (408 cu in) with a bore of 107 mm (4.21 in) and a stroke of 124 mm (4.88 in). This platform utilizes an advanced High-Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) direct injection fuel system paired with an air-to-air aftercooler and a turbocharger to optimize combustion efficiency. The engine delivers a versatile power output typically ranging from 110 kW to 149 kW (148 hp to 200 hp) at a rated speed of 2000 RPM. It offers exceptional lugging capability with peak torque reserves around 800 Nm to 940 Nm (590 to 693 lb-ft) at 1500 RPM. The SAA6D107E-1 meets EPA Tier 3 / EU Stage IIIA standards, while the upgraded SAA6D107E-2 meets EPA Tier 4 Interim / EU Stage IIIB standards through the integration of a Komatsu Diesel Particulate Filter (KDPF) and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems.
