The Volvo D6E is a powerful 5.7-liter inline 6-cylinder diesel engine engineered for durability and efficiency in demanding heavy-duty applications. It features a bore of 98 mm and a stroke of 126 mm, utilizing Volvo's Advanced Combustion Technology (V-ACT) to meet Tier 3 / Stage IIIA emission standards. The engine is equipped with a high-pressure common rail fuel injection system and precise internal Exhaust Gas Recirculation (IEGR) for optimized performance. Depending on the specific configuration (EAE2, EAE3, EFE3), the D6E delivers a power output ranging from 99 kW to 129 kW (133 hp to 173 hp) at a rated speed of 1800–2000 RPM, with peak torque reaching approximately 870 Nm at low speeds. It is Turbocharged and Air-to-Air Intercooled, ensuring rapid response and sustained high torque for excavators, loaders, and pavers.
