The Hino J05E is a highly efficient 5.1-liter (5,123 cc) inline 4-cylinder, 4-stroke diesel engine utilized extensively in medium-duty trucks and heavy construction machinery. It features a bore of 112 mm and a stroke of 130 mm. Engineered for durability and economy, the engine employs a high-pressure common rail fuel system and a Variable Nozzle Turbocharger (VNT) with an intercooler to optimize combustion. Power output typically ranges from 127 kW to 157 kW (170 hp to 210 hp) at a rated speed of 2,500 RPM, with maximum torque delivery between 440 lb-ft and 470 lb-ft at 1,600 RPM. This platform is compliant with Tier 4 Final and Euro 5/6 emission standards, utilizing cooled EGR and DPR technologies.
