The Volvo D7E EAE3 is a high-efficiency 7.1 Liter (7146 cc / 436 cu in) inline 6-cylinder diesel engine engineered for heavy-duty construction environments. It features a bore of 108 mm and a stroke of 130 mm, utilizing Volvo’s Advanced Combustion Technology (V-ACT) with a high-pressure common rail fuel injection system for optimized fuel efficiency and responsiveness. This 4-stroke, liquid-cooled engine is Turbocharged and Air-to-Air Intercooled, delivering a power output between 138 kW and 170 kW (185 hp to 228 hp) at a rated speed of 1800–2200 RPM. It offers robust torque performance, peaking at approximately 965–1065 Nm at 1350 RPM. The EAE3 configuration is compliant with Tier 3 / Stage IIIA emission standards, featuring internal exhaust gas recirculation (I-EGR) and a precise Engine Management System (EMS 2).
