It features a massive displacement of 18.1 Liters (1,104.5 cu in) with a bore of 145 mm (5.71 in) and a stroke of 183 mm (7.2 in). This platform utilizes advanced ACERT™ Technology and Mechanically Actuated Electronic Unit Injection (MEUI) to ensure precise fuel delivery and combustion efficiency. The engine is typically Turbocharged Aftercooled (TA) or Twin Turbocharged Aftercooled (TTA), delivering a power output ranging from 429 kW to 597 kW (575 hp to 800 hp) at a rated speed of 1800–2100 RPM. It offers exceptional torque capabilities, peaking around 3,710 Nm (2,736 lb-ft) at 1300 RPM, and is engineered to meet strict Tier 4 Final, Tier 3, and Stage V emission standards depending on the configuration.
