The Caterpillar C13 ACERT is a heavy-duty inline 6-cylinder, 4-stroke diesel engine known for its reliability in demanding earthmoving and industrial applications. It features a displacement of 12.5 Liters (763 cu in) with a bore of 130 mm (5.12 in) and a stroke of 157 mm (6.18 in). This engine utilizes the Caterpillar Mechanically Actuated Electronic Unit Injection (MEUI) system and ACERT™ Technology to optimize combustion efficiency and emission control. The C13 is typically Turbocharged Aftercooled (TA), delivering a power output ranging from 287 kW to 388 kW (385 hp to 520 hp) at a rated speed of 1800–2100 RPM. It provides exceptional low-end performance with peak torque reaching approximately 2381 Nm (1756 lb-ft) at 1400 RPM.
